Class Ownership

In organizations with multiple teachers, class ownership helps you stay focused on your own work. Each class can have an owner — the teacher responsible for managing it.

How It Works

• Each class can have one owner (or no owner)
• The Show only my classes checkbox on the works page is enabled by default, filtering the list to only show works from your own classes
• Uncheck it to see works from all classes in your organization
• Ownership is displayed on the class detail page
• If your organization has only one teacher, all classes are automatically assigned to you

Claim a Class

If a class has no owner, you can claim it:

1. Go to Classes and open the class you want to claim
2. Click This class is mine

The class is now assigned to you.

Transfer Ownership

To transfer a class to another teacher in your organization:

1. Open the class you want to transfer
2. Click the edit icon to go to class settings
3. In the Transfer Class Ownership section, select the new owner from the dropdown
4. Click Transfer

The class will now belong to the selected teacher, and their works view will update accordingly.
