Google Classroom Integration
Penmate can import your classes and student lists directly from Google Classroom, saving you from entering student data manually.
How It Works
- Go to Classes in Penmate
- Click Import from Google Classroom
- You’ll be asked to authorize Penmate to access your Google Classroom account
- Once authorized, you’ll see a list of your Google Classroom classes
- Select the class you want to import
- Penmate creates a new class and imports all enrolled students with their names and email addresses
What Gets Imported
- Class name — the name of your Google Classroom class
- Student names — first and last name of each enrolled student
- Student emails — the email address associated with each student’s Google account
Requirements
- You must be a teacher in the Google Classroom class you want to import
- Students must be enrolled in the Google Classroom class
- Your school must allow third-party app access to Google Classroom (this is controlled by your Google Workspace administrator)
After Import
Once imported, the class works like any other class in Penmate. You can:
- Assign tasks to the imported class
- Add or remove students manually
- Track results and progress as usual
The import is a one-time sync — changes made in Google Classroom after the import are not automatically reflected in Penmate.
